Awesome! You have a lot of great ideas. One thing we like to do when using this song with our kids is stop the music after all the kids have found an item of that color and we name all the objects. For example, "What do you have?" "I have a green car/I have a brown horse/etc." That way, every time you sing the song you can expand vocabulary beyond just the colors.
