  • I can hear the Marxism in your review with the idea of overthrowing bourgeoisie not so that the colonized can be at top but so both colonizer and colonized can live equal to one another, breaking down the structure of an upper and a lower class.

  • Unfortunately during that time many of the socialists and communists were not post-colonialists by any means. He was one of the first anti imperialist that negated the enlightenment project by undergoing it himself through his educational process. He underwent extreme hardship in France and was never accepted. He realized that in spite of what he did he would never be respected in Europe. Hence, the title of his book "Black Skin, White Mask". HIs psychoanalytic take on race relations is unique.
