The defense analyst representing the U.S clearly does not understand the long term effects of war. True, war is killing people (for which I am against) but it should be the duty of the opposition or initiator to bring the war torn country back to a clean state. The U.S. has not done near enough to support Laos for example in the removal of UXO's. Sure, they spent 3 Million for removal last year but this is what they have been spending on a daily basis during war. Clean up your act.
I like the way Nabili handled the interview. It was obvious he was shocked at how John and even Ray were talking about ways to improve the weapon rather than banning it altogether.
To be a little more effective with an American audience, the man on the defense should be much more capable of persuasive argument than John Pike. The interview had a slight taste of "die loaded to roll the right way", if you know what I mean.
Regarding war, every country on the offense should have a sincere intention of cleaning up its messes with the same commitment with which it made them. After all, even the country that wins must stop fighting at some point if it is to have won.
One can not stop fighting without making peace; one can not make peace while its bombs are killing people thirty years after they've stopped falling!
