This is part 1 of the Trilogy version of Metroid Prime. I will also be covering Metroid Prime 2 as well. In this segment, we land on the Frigate Orpheon and begin exploring the ship. This part should be used to adjust your controls and grow accustomed to the new Wii motion controls, that is, if you haven't played Corruption yet.

  • How do you switch visors on the Wii version for Prime 1?

  • @DarkEmergence You hold the Minus (or Plus depending on your settings) and point to which Visor you want.

  • Wait, this Metroid is chronologically after Zero Mission right? Then why doesn't Samus have the gravity suit at the start? What's the suit at this part called?

  • @Deeshlomo123 For some unexplained reason, Samus never uses all of her powers at the start of missions. It would appear that she only activates the bare necessities, like the Charge Beam and Morph Ball Bombs. Everything else, I guess, would be activated as they were deemed needed. Maybe she's perpetually bored and wants a challenge.

Think Metroid: Other M, but with Samus actually using logic.

By the way, that is the fully power suit from Zero Mission, but the Gravity Suit is not activated.

  • @Terron145 Oh, thanks. It's probably because the Gravity Suit was a feature and not really a suit in Other M whereas in the other games it was an actual suit.

  • @Deeshlomo123 The reason why the Gravity Suit is only a feature in Other M is because the developers thought it would be odd for Samus to be clad in purple during serious conversations. I don't see why they would think that, but that's how it is. I think royal purple could be taken seriously.

  • @yousini All of us that played Metroid Prime on Gamecube are dissapointed by that

  • 2 People Got Killed By Metroids

  • @Terron145 I think my favorites are the MP2 variants. They have a much more humanoid look that is well-designed, and it was the first version of them that I ever got to see.

  • Your friends are gay. Metroid is awesome.
