Why don't you just download BRRiP movies and then transfer them to your PS3.

the only reason why they arent around any more is sony bought out the hddvd format so it no more movies were made with that any more.

You are right. Cheaper combination Acer aspire revo nettop with the new nvidia ion platform and it plays 1080p video.
