"Will it hurt? The drop, I mean." I asked.
"Oh, just a cough. Just like a bad cough."
I nodded. "Okay," I managed to say.
I waited for the next thirty seconds, preparing for my expiration.
Then the drop came. Suddenly. At first it was my ears that I felt. They felt warm inside. I felt the blood trickling out before I noticed that my whole body was shaking. I fell to the floor, my vision blurring white. The last seconds that I lay there, I faintly smiled. I was gone.
