  • a big thanks to those that blowed up the temple back in the late 1600s and to mr Elgin.

thanks for trying to erase the history we will always remember u for that..

  • Restored? It is, at best, partially restored. And probably more accurate to say partially conserved. Entire sections are missing. Whatever it takes to grab those tourists dollars. The tourists, and the environmental damage they will inflict with their tramping all over it, by the way, will certainly help heap future damage on the temple. It should be OFF LIMITS to the public.

  • I am so happy about this truly monumental work. Hooray! I only wish that someday I will be able to see it with my own eyes. Hooray! I'm sending all my prayers, and good vibes, to the architects, stone masons, and friends, who lived their dream and did it!

Job well done. Hooray ! I am overwhelmed with good cheer it brings tears to my eyes. Silly me to cry over of the Parthenon. Hooray!

  • hooray!

  • @teemuruskeepaa What "Cyrillic alphabet"????????????? ITS GREEK.

  • You have to have the roof put on to make it worth seeing? Does the coliseum need all the marble removed from St Peters and put back again? Or all the marble re-aded to the pyramids?

  • It's a tad bid disappointing that the entire top is still missing. I remember watching a PBS special about it and thinking that when the restore was complete I'd like to visit it.

  • Just in time for auction.

  • This is lame I thought they would restore it completely like they did some building under the acropolis. This is just the same except with little white pieces in it.

  • @trk0 I like how well you help others to know history.
