Trevor Kaufman, CEO of consulting agency Schematic, discusses the role of clothing in running a business. His biggest challenge, he says, is to convey the authority of a suit without wearing one. WSJ's Christina Binkley reports. (Aug. 7)
Based on my personal opinion and my business experience in the corporate world I would say that the guy is originally fit, and don't put too much on him so you that you can be intimidated by this typical authoritative figure that scares people off if they are not use to that.

Great video Well done
Well my friend a man in a suit is just " a man in a suit" in the business world people don't get paid for that except if you are a model. I think that he wanted to dimistify that idea by being himself probably but not these pingouins people tell you to be when you get into the business world.

This guy wants to convey the authority that goes with wearing a business suit and necktie, but he also wants to dress down and wear casual clothes at the same time.
It doesn't work. He doesn't have the authority a man in a suit and tie has.
Why not put on a suit and tie? Is it really that big a deal to dress professionally? Why bother making a video of it?
Casual clothes will never convey authority. We all know it's true.
it's refreshing to see someone successful not push the neck-tie.

I am confused by this video.
