Hey bruce, i was wondering what you think of using these instead of bamboo. As far a performance goes, which one is better? Also, you use .08 for most of your spines? What are the characteristics of a kite that would require .08? Thanks!
@AlexRaymond19 hmmm? i don't think it makes much difference what spine material is used. the important aspects, in my opinion, of any spine is that you can bend it a little in the right place(s) and that it is not absolutely rigid and can withstand a few crashes without breaking......bamboo and carbon rod or flat/rectangular cross section carbon works great.
Thanks Bruce, ill start asking questions on the forum since i just signed up. Just made my first kite with a carbon fiber spine! I find it easier to work with.
