Fan Dancer Sally Rand at 1934 Chicago World's Fair

I recall seeing Miss Rand perform in Rapid City, SD in 1964 or 65. She was in her 50's then and her body was fantastic. She performed under pink lighting to "Clare DeLune." She at least performed with the illusion of being nude. I've never forgotten that remarkable performance

My father grew up at the "El Rancho Vegas," {the original hotel on the Vegas Strip}. Sally Rand performed there often and my father told me how beautiful she was and what a nice person she was. I still have the signed photos with the bubbles!

Took my parents to see her at Magam's Chateau, Lyons, IL in 1966. She was still very beautiful. Have a signed picture from her. It was fun to see how happy my parents were to get to see her in person.

Sally Rand started out as a silent film movie star but when "talkies" started she was out of the business due to her lisp, so she turned to exotic dancing at a club called The Paramount. Lucky for us :) she's beautiful
