This is what people don't get. When Katrina hit, and the efforts to help New Orleans was met with so many failures, everyone wanted to blame the Feds. But the reality is Vitter is just one of many incredibly useless people who run things in Louisiana.
I'm not saying FEMA didn't make mistakes, but the problem with Louisiana is because they keep electing tools like Nagen and Vitter and wonder why things suck in Louisiana.

Agreed, Clinton responded in other ways as well that many seem to forget. After the first WTC attack a couple of known AQ training camps got flattened by a few cruise missles.
Clinton responded in several ways, he just didn't pull a Johny Wayne and declare War on Terror.

H&D, Bill Clinton did NOT ignore the first WTC attack. By the end of his term he had a very good anti-terrorism program in place. When it was passed on to the Bush administration Dick Cheney was supposed to start holding meetings on this issue. He never held 1 single meeting at all until 9-11 happened! That's called dropping the ball!
