  • @semperidem1000 Well, it is "awe-ful" (as in, full of awe). But I think what alonelychild means is that talking about the necessity to have children sounds gauche and vulgar - it is not something which is immediately thought of as a "spiritual" thing because it is so physical.

    What's aweful about procreation? God would not have created it, if it was aweful in his sight. But I do agree (with special reference to Europe) if Catholic couples are not open to the children that God wishes to send them, then Muslims will overrun it.

  • One of the things we Catholics MUST do is quite simple: re-procreate . I know it sounds vulgar and aweful, but we are in competetion with the muslims, who have 8 children per couple. And, there're the others who contracept and abort.  Saint Josemaria Escrivá de Balaguer recommended his spiritual children to have AT LEAST 8 children per couple.
