Funny, innit, how, back in '85, Townshend was already considered to be an elder statesman of rock 'n' roll, and yet he looks so bloody young!

@postalsock The 80s weren't as bad as most profess. I'd say U2, REM, Pete Townshend, The Replacements, The Pixies, Dire Straits, and others turned out some good tunes, and it was probably a better time for music than the late 70s (aside from the good punk banks, e.g. The Clash).

yeah, grunge worked out so well for our dear Kurt!
:(
oh well, that's what he wanted.
You can't compare Pete with other one hit wonder 80s bands like Men Without Hats or crap like THAT.
I think all of his music is timeless, but that's just me.
What happened to grunge? How many people listen to grunge NOW?
Don't get me wrong, I love it, and I understand that it was the answer to BAD 80s music, but, sorry, this was GOOD 80s music!
It has heart and depth, unlike other 80s crapola!

Watching this reminds how terrible the 80's were. We still havn't recovered from them. Grunge helped, but still..
