only reason vinnie paul/dimebag formed damage plan because phil anselmo hadnt talked to them in 2 years some shit and was talking shit about them in the press.

vinnie paul,phil anselmo,rex brown, cj pierce id like to see that band write some new songs.

drowning pool new singer sucks and original dead one loved pantera.

no they broke up in 2003. Phil said "Pantera is done". I remember reading it on Blabbermouth. The band played its last show in 2001. and took a year long hiatus before calling it quits. Now all we have is HellYeah and Down. No band will take Pantera's place. Some folks say 5 Finger Death Punch, but they aren't on the same level.

pantera didnt really even break up they just went on a hiatus because phil was off doing down and superjoint ritual...so if phil was off doing side project shit dimebag and vinnie did their damage plan stuff and dimebag was killed on tour.

I don't really follow that logic. It's true Pantera and Drowning Pool are from Texas, and both lost close loved ones, but Drowning Pool did not break up, Pantera and Damage Plan did. Maxwell toured with Pantera back in 2001 and were friends with the guys, which is why Maxwell is in HellYeah.

Personally, I wish Nothingface would regroup, as I do not like HellYeah.

@cabalofdemons it just makes more sense for vinnie paul aka pantera drummer to jam with drowning pool guitarist...because they both lost a fellow musician.

vinnie paul lost his brother died in 2004 aka pantera guitarist

cj.pierce lost his singer died in 2002 aka drowning pool singer

pantera was one guitarist band..drowning pool is also.

and both southern.

nothingface is cool i just think dp guitarist and vinnie paul would probley have more in common.

nothingface was nu metal horseshit didnt even have guitar solos.

plus drowning pools guitarist had old six feet under tone..his shit was heavier.

like 4-5 songs off dp first album have guitar solos.
