HONDA XR250R & KAWASAKI KDX250

My brother & I went in halves on a KDX250 so he'd have something to ride when he visits.
Legendary for reliability & designed for trail riding, I was curious to see how it stacked up against a 4 stroke with the same reputation. Namely, my XR250R.

Thanks olds455man. Discovered a tear in the intake boot which probably explains a lot of weirdness lately. New part is on order & will hopefully improve things quite a bit.

Mine doesn't do great, but it is better than 8mpg. Check the float height. What jets are you using? Also, make sure the carb is sitting straight in the boots. No matter what you do the gas mileage will seem horrible compared to your 4-stroke.
