Sad to see it go. I was stationed there three different tours and retired from there in 1989. I have many fond memories of Oak Knoll.

Sad to see a part of my past gone away. I went to X-ray Technologist school there in 1988.

Sad to see it go. I was born there. Dad was in Navy at the time. And it is (was) not in the middle of a forest. :)

The Alameda Naval Air Museum at the former NAS Alameda has a display room that contains many artifacts, pictures, and displays from Oak Knoll so not all is lost!!

I bet it was creepy as hell walking through those empty halls setting down explosives in old operating rooms nd stuff
