This is the last 8 minutes or so of the spectacular fireworks show held in Tye, Texas, on July 3, 2010. This is the fourth year that Tye has hosted a family fun day and fireworks at Rister Park, which is located adjacent to the north end of Dyess Air Force Base's main runway. Tens of thousands of people come out to watch the July 3rd fireworks, which are then usually followed the next evening by a large fireworks display in neighboring Abilene. This year, however, Abilene will not be having an official fireworks display, so Tye took the spotlight.
Note that this is raw, unedited video, uploaded to YouTube directly from my JVC GY-HM700 ProHD broadcast camcorder in USB mode. The audio is only on the right channel because only the camera's "shotgun" mic was used. This is a typical news configuration, but YouTube doesn't have a "mono" mode.
that's a nice shot. what camera did you use?

@webmike720 I used one of KTAB/KRBC's new JVC GY-HM700 ProHD camcorders. The HM700 is a shoulder-mount professional broadcast camcorder; we use Fujinon 17x HD lenses.
