@oldannyboy37 Coyote hunters in general don't care about these things. They just love to kill. They generally don't know anything about animal population and don't own livestock. They do what they do for the same reason the BTK killer beat off when the girl was hanging from a rope. They kill for the same reason Jeffrey Dahmer did. They just love to kill, it makes their little 3 inch dicks feel bigger. They are cowards to shoot dogs. They also kill frogs and anything else they see for fun. Sick.

@hyzercreek Coyotes in large numbers can and have taken healthy non pregnant cows in this area. Some farmers around here have tried using guard dogs only for their dogs to be killed. Sometimes there's just genuinely too many coyotes and the population needs to be thinned out. I understand that some breeds of dogs make superb guards but the fact remains that some coyotes are going to have to be shot to keep things in balance.

@mianus11 The reason coyote population is growing is farmers are too sloppy at cooping up their chickens and barning their pregnant cows. Sheep farmers who use Great Pyrenees guard dogs have zero loss from coyotes. Chickens need to be behind wire, to protect them from hawks owl eagles foxes fishers dogs weasels bobcats house cats AND coyotes. If you shoot coyotes to protect chickens you are a fool because an eagle will swoop and get it. Shooting coyotes does nothing to protect livestock.

@mianus11 You know nothing about environmental science. When an animal population increases, it's because of an abundance of food. When the population gets too high and the food runs out it reduces it's own population, either by making smaller litters or migrating out of the area. Nobody ever overpopulated itself into extinction you fucking IDIOT.
