I'm pretty sure he was just saying hold off for a little while until the sun comes up. I think he was trying to maintain a more ethereal (non-flash interrupted) atmosphere. I don't think it had anything to do with him caring about having pics taken while they were playing.

Sorry I shot this vertically, folks. It was early, I hadn't slept...I was lucky I could even hold my arm up for five minutes. Such a great show though! Possibly the most enchanting I've ever seen. It will be very hard to top.
