  • Dude 3rd person views sucks for FPS game videos. We want to see the game from the perspective we play from. Why ever make a 3rd person video? Sucks...

  • I understand how you feel (even if I don't entirely agree)... but in this case, the first person demo was broken beyond repair (believe me I and others tried, but the data just wasn't there) so the choices were 3rd person or nothing.

  • @zsOverman There are maybe 2 real demos of thresh out there. He didn't release demos because he was afraid of tarnishing his unbeatable image.

  • @JayDay111 I've got a handful which were from tournament play (like this one) , all but this one were Quake1. The Q1 ones do have first person for at least part of the match. But you're right, there aren't many at all. I think I have four total.

  • back in the day noone would beat thresh. Today gaming has evolved and computers are faster = more frame rates to q2 so you cannot campare the way fatility plays today compared to how thresh played then..and just so you know billox was't just some crap opponent he won a wireplay(i belive) tournemnt and the prize was to play against thresh

  • That's right, WangTeSung; Billox won the Quakedelica tournament that year in the UK, and this was the exhibition match that followed.

  • You can't compare games because today's games have higher frame rates? What are you, a retard?

  • I played a few 1v1 against Billox back in the day. I was none too shabby as I had my own private ISDN line but Billox would own me every time. Own and leave bruises. Awsome, awsone player.

The exhibition against Thresh did him no justice at all.

  • bet

  • Must watch for Q2 fans... the tactics of Thresh constantly hitting bellox at the rocket launcher and railgun spawn points along with his high ground and chaingun play to give damage against bellox while bellox would miss his shots with the rockets/railgun. The understanding and prediction of both players was astounding, though Thresh seemed more prepared to attack at item points and use items less common as they are less gaurded: while picking up drops of better weapons from bellox. Well played.

  • I like the editing. The way you timed the clips so they would go along with the music was classy.

  • Yeah, anybody knows what remix of hall of the mountain king this is?

  • @WangTeSung

Billox won an online FFA tournament, on wireplay's private servers. For whatever reason none of the top UK players entered. Billox wasn't a bad player, but duelling on q2dm1 he was very average.

  • lol, -1. Thanks for the piece of gaming history :p

  • @jmvasquez

Because the demo itself didnt show POV, its a keygripped "demo".
