Opinions aside? Don't you think that when we attack the government, we should in the very least make sure what we use is the truth? Not softly spoken words used to ellicit unfounded assumptions. Not carefully crafted inuendo with exageration designed to cause an emotional responce? I feel for your concern Mr. mitchmanTX. But seriously question your motivations. They seem less than genuinely used to get the results you seek.

The UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, NOT the Bill of Rights, specifically included the English common law procedure in the Suspension Clause, located in Article One, Section 9. It states: The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion, the public safety may require it.

So why did you say it was in the BILL of RIGHTS?

Everybody had a country, they never defended it, they allowed themselves and their country to be abused, you worked as slaves to feed your enemies, and now everyone is surprised thay they want to bite off the hand that fed them. It is true that President is supposed to defend Constitution. Yet, he can be used to destroy it. Big countries cannot be democracies. This presumption seems to have some grounds. Just numbers. There's a notable trend or pattern that becomes clear when you look at the last 50+ years of the US's history. Look at the laws that have been passed and at the politicians who have been elected in this nation.
