Heavy Traffic at O'Hare International Airport

It's no wonder why O'Hare International Airport in Chicago was once the busiest airport in the world. For every minute, a plane would either takeoff or land at this seven-runwayed airport. Every size aircraft could land here, from a large United Airlines 747 to a small Cessna (though i doubt you'd see very many of those tiny aircraft).

I just want to point out that O'Hare actually has SEVEN runways; not six as you stated. They presently intersect diagonally in 3 pairs plus one. Plans are under way to eliminate one or two of the diagonal runways eventually, in favor of 5 parallel runways, like at Atlanta Airport.

@CathayGuy i saw one plane standing still for 10 minutes as a 767 slowly went through with its pushback and startup procedures... poor md-80 haha

@airindia16 No problem: not trying to be a know-it-ll, but O'Hare is my home town airport, and I know it very well.
