aisae gur ko bal bal jaaeeai aap mukuth mohi thaarai
- I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to such a Guru; He Himself is liberated, and He carries me across as well. ||1||Pause||

kuvun kuvun kuvun gun keheeai anth nehee kush paarai
Which, which, which of Your Glorious Virtues should I chant? There is no end or limitation to them.

laakh laakh laakh kee korai ko hai aiso beechaarai
There are thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, many millions of them, but those who contemplate them are very rare. ||1||

bisum bisum bisum hee bhee hai laal gulaal rungaarai
I am wonder-struck, wonder-struck, wonder-struck and amazed, dyed in the deep crimson color of my Beloved.

kuhu naanuk sunthun rus aaee hai jio chaakh goongaa musukaarai
Says Nanak, the Saints savor this sublime essence, like the mute, who tastes the sweet candy, but only smiles. ||2||1||20||

gur poorai kirupaa dhaaree
The Perfect Guru has granted His Grace,

prabh pooree loch humaaree
and God has fulfilled my desire.

kar eisunaan grihi aaeae
After taking my bath of purification, I returned to my home,

anudh mungul sukh paaeae
and I found bliss, happiness and peace. ||1||

sunthuhu raam naam nisuthureeai
O Saints, salvation comes from the Lord's Name.

oothuth baithuth har har dhiaaeeai anadhin sukiruth kureeai
While standing up and sitting down, meditate on the Lord's Name. Night and day, do good deeds. ||1||Pause||

sunth kaa maarug dhurum kee pourree ko vuddubhaagee paaeae
The way of the Saints is the ladder of righteous living, found only by great good fortune.

kott junum kae kilabikh naasae har churunee chith laaeae
The sins of millions of incarnations are washed away, by focusing your consciousness on the Lord's feet. ||2||

ousuthath kuruhu sudhaa prubh apunae jin pooree kul raakhee
So sing the Praises of your God forever; His almighty power is perfect.

jeea junth sabh bheae pavithraa sathigur kee such saakhee
All beings and creatures are purified, listening to the True Teachings of the True Guru. ||3||

bighun binaasun sabh dhukh naasun sathigur naam dhrirraaeiaa
The True Guru has implanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within me; it is the Eliminator of obstructions, the Destroyer of all pains.

khoeae paap bheae sabh paavun jun naanuk sukh ghar aaeiaa
All of my sins were erased, and I have been purified; servant Nanak has returned to his home of peace. ||4||3||53||
