For me this is beautiful singing. But then I don't claim to an opera expert nor do I wish to be one! It's so much easier to enjoy beautiful music without pretense.

I'm surprised that a voice I love so much could sing SO flat, and let this recording be released.... she does so many wonderful things, but so many less than acceptable......

@Martinowor This was a very late recording and she was having huge vocal problems. This was actually recorded several years after the notorious 1969 Met Lucia. Still, the coloratura is accurate and she never lost the top of her range; it seems to have mostly affected the middle. But IMHO, lesser Moffo is still better than most others.

Could we please show a little more respect for each other's opinions? There is no such thing as a wrong opinion. For some, Callas is the great singer; for others, it's Nilsson, or Moffo, or Sutherland. It all comes down to a personal preference.
