Video Protest
ATTN: Trademark Administrator
600 Dulany Street, MDE-4B89
Alexandria, VA 22314-5793

Dear Sir/Madam:
This is a video protest of the Trademark application submitted by applicant Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. This is a supplement to the letter dated May 22nd, 2009, and received by your office. A DVD of this video is also being sent to your offices to be included in the Trademark file of the applicant. This DVD, and other evidence will be included as opposition, if necessary, to protest the deceptive application submitted by Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.

For the reasons stated in the letter, and in this video, there is no choice but to summarily deny the application submitted by Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. It appears to be apparent to many consumers and educators that this organization, and the persons associated with it, have little or virtually no respect for U.S. consumer laws, U.S. Trademark laws, or U.S. Copyright laws. For example Boise State University of Idaho and other respectable universities who value U.S. Copyright/Trademark laws, immediately dropped reference to the 'NAAS' mark being used by Northwest when informed the use infringed upon the rights of the trademark owner.

It should not be surprising to your office that Northwest Association of Accredited Schools has ties to Russia; as admitted on its website. We all know the virulent history of Communism as pertains to Russia.

Russia has nuclear missiles pointed at every man, woman, and child in the United States; this fact also was ignored by the operators of NorthWest when it chose to associate with Russia.

In addition to ties to Russia, Edu Systems International, an organization based in Cairo Egypt, also claims to have a business relationship with Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. This country is tied to extremist activity. On its website, this company claims "ESI is official representative of NAAS in Egypt."

Besides foreign sources, Northwest Association of Accredited Schools receives substantial revenue from the Idaho Dept. of Education. These two entities share the same offices, employees, and their websites compliment the other's activities, whether legal or not.

Parents, consumers, and many others are confused about the legitimacy of accreditation from Northwest Association of Accreditated Schools, and whether this organization or Idaho Dept. of Education is somehow connected to the real source of NAAS products and services.

Also, NAAS Publishers are a frequent critic of Russia, and its Communist traditions. This country is a persistent intruder into NAAS internet servers, has shown no respect for U.S. policies, and their operatives may be working on behalf of NorthWest.

The schools that claim to be accredited by Northwest Association of Accredited Schools display a similar lack of regard for U.S. Copyright/Trademark laws, ethics, standards, and integrity.
