Do my iPod touch (version 3.1.3) have to be jail broken? And When I bought my iPod touch it was version 3.1.3 but I updated to the new OS version. Does it work for the OS version? Or do I have to downgrade it or something. Please help!

appcake works with installous installed but installous does not work, it takes forever to load and when you do get it loaded it stops the download and reboots your phone.
