  • If this was an actual combat jump they would get a gold star on their jump wings. Let me know!!

  • @spareaxe yes, all jumpers received the Combat Jump Wings (mustard stain)

  • I wanna give some love to 2/503rd since they weren't featured on this video. I was in B Co. 1/508th chalk 8 on this jump. Much love to my sky soldier brothers. Airborne All the Way!!!

  • @herponcey [U should have listen bit more to Vampov, and STFU!] Dear haters, think before you speak/comment please. You are just wasting space for the valid and well constructed American responses. Freethough and speech is wonderful, don't waste it on a moronic, uneducated, and hatefull statement. Maybe you should say,"I disagree, nor can I fully comprehend the motives and rationale behind these wars, but I respect every soldier's choice to serve his or her country." SEMPER FI

  • I'd like to know what is going on between the loadmaster and the safety at the end of the jump.

  • @enyskept you wouldn't jump into an unsecured area, would you? the last thing you want is to be attacked mid-air under canopy or be mortared on the ground.

  • A VERY SPECIAL AND TIMELY VIDEO. SHOWING HOW ARE MILITARY RESPONDS TO INCIDENTS IN THE WORLD, ROY GARRISON!!!!!!!!

  • March 26 2003. Hell of a day.

  • On this day I woke to see the speech of our withdrawal from Iraq and it brought back the morning I woke to CNN showing our Sky Soldiers jumping into N Iraq and stopped breathing wondering if my son was one of them. I didn't breath again until nearly a year later when he finally came home, and again two years later when he served in Ramadi and Fallujah with PsyOps/Airborne. I want to thank all our service members and veterans for their great service. I am so proud of all of you! From a proud Mom

  • @soldierkarlo Thank you for your service! My son was with the 173rd during that time, though didn't jump in (he would have given just about anything to have earned his combat wings!). It was hell on me though; I woke up to CNN showing the Sky Soldiers jumping into Iraq and it was a couple months later before I heard from him. I am so proud of all of you!!!! From a Very Proud Mom of an Iraqi Freedom Veteran

  • You lucky fuckers! Getting to combat jump. Never got that lucky. Went on a couple of really awesome air assaults though. Was this at the beginning of the war?

  • @IrishRickyX I believe, and I could be wrong, that the record is 102,000 ft.
