Love your accent, why would you want to lose it? It is uniquely yours. I'd work on keeping your accent not losing it. Sounds really sexy! Don't you know American women flip for a man with an accent.

I'm Russian, and it's true, my first impression of Portuguese when I overhear any conversation is that it sounds very much like Russian. I've been studying it now for about 6 months and it's a beautiful language but the phonetics are quite similar to Russian, I think that's why I may have been commended on my pronunciation :)

Your accent is very mild. I love the Brazilian accent. Brazilians sound like they are singing.

Just my two cents, but I think if your goal is to completely lose your accent, then you have to also focus on the way you order your words in your sentences. No matter how good your English is, it would be easy to tell you weren't born in this country base on your phrasing.
