June 1st 2008 saw the anniversary run of the Locomotive exchange runs over the Southern West of England Mainline, hauled by 6233 'Duchess of Sutherland' from Waterloo to Exeter, and 60019 'Bittern' from Exeter to Waterloo. However problems with loading guages prohibited 6233 or 60019 from using the LSWR route west of Yeovil, so 6233 went to Exeter via Castle Cary and Taunton, and 60019 took the train from Yeovil Junction, and in the end only went to Clapham Junction.
This is the sequence from that day.
Main locations are Buckhorn Weston near Gillingham Tunnel, Whiteball Tunnel and on the climb to Milbourne Wick.
Many thanks to John Griffin, David Oldham and Ryan Skinner.
The Duchess is a beauty.
Near perfect timing from the sound of it.
Thanks for the good film.

I enjoyed this video very much. I like to see the countryside as much as the locomotives and the shots of the flowers made the video so very pleasant. Thank you for a fine piece of work.

Lovely shot of 6233 going under, Whiteball Tunnel is it?, with the steam covering the train, she must of been working hard, also the end hearing 60019 working was brilliant. 5 stars yet again for a fab vid!
