The poverty rate (I couldn't find it) is pretty high in China. Not everyone has a choice really. And who cares if you eat a dog or cat? What makes it different from eating a cow? I'm not saying I like to eat dogs or cats... that idea seems terrible to me because I own a dog but I just think people shouldn't act like the a culture eats something that you would think is awful.
