  • Great Video, Just dont forget the dangers of damaging nerves and onset of future neural disorder and pain.

  • Brother there are dangers if trained improperly, however if you train smart and traditional using the jow its not a problem. I know people who have conditioned their hands for decades with no health problems. --It also helps to train with a little bit of common seance, which many people seem to not possess. :)

  • Does Iron Palm have any relations to Splashing hands?

  • Yes and no. Water slapping is more of an internal training where iron palm is external. Also there are several different water training methods some actually pull water up, others push water down, to me it it similar to candle training where you are focusing on YI or intent. Iron palm is slapping steel shot thus faster results for combat training. However some people like to meditate on tiger skin rugs and develop their awesomeness... --Me, not so much.

  • i have a problem, i am realy skinny and i have real veiny hands, when i hit something with the back of my hand like in the exercise, it get's busted up realy quick

  • Brother this is very common, especially in the beginning. Just make sure you are letting the hand drop with gravity onto your bag without muscle power, keep applying dit da jow also apply it maybe three or four times extra daily to help your hand heal. You can keep conditioning the hand but just skip the back. The back of the hand takes the longest to condition where you will not have any bruises. Also don't fill your bag with rocks as this tends to damage the hands more.

  • A Canadian-Goof that is not watching a hockey game in their igloo or Skeez'n little boys in the ice fishing shed...

  • I hate to bust your bubble idiot, but only a hand full of people in the world can or could ever break 4 "UNSPACED" paver blocks.

The towel does not keep the hand from being injured, but from being cut by the blocks breaking, if we were using something other than little wash cloths it might be different.

  • This is great, I really want to strengthen my iron palm technique. However, this is difficult because my Sifu focuses much more on Iron fist training, pretty much just hitting gravel bags with my pinky knuckle. After training like this, would you guys preferably strike the head with your palm or fist? I always strike the floating rib with my palm, mostly due to the fact that it feels more comfortable. As for the dit da jow, Ive been using icy-hot for a while and it seems to do the trick! -Jordan

  • great video guys, iv watched it now about 11 times since finding it yeaterday..i hope you check your youtube cuz i really would like an answer for this..i just started iron palm to strengthen for my wing chun training, does tiger balm help if i dont have the jow?

What did you put on your hands? and why?

  • Really inspiring. How long does it take to harden your palm to break this stuff? Is there a need for meditation and things like tai chi? Good video. Thanks.
