TOYKINO houses approximately 70,000 cartoon characters, mostly in the shape of
figures (character dolls with moveable joints). The figures come in real-life sizes,
down to mini-sizes. The figures are made in exquisite details as well.

The museum is divided into two halls. One hall houses figures from American
animation, sports, heroes, soldiers, Star Wars, etc. The life-size Terminator,
Superman, and Spiderman especially grab your attention as you walk in. The second
hall is where figures of Japanese animation characters, traditional Korean toys, and
a thematic exhibition are on display. One hall is mostly for foreign characters, and
the other hall houses toys that you can touch and play with. Children especially love
this area because they can play with the toys or have fun with board games.

TOYKINO’s curator Son Won Kyeong has collected more
than 200 thousand character figures. What is on display
at TOYKINO is only a third of the entire collection.
According to Son Won Kyeong, to enjoy the museum to
the fullest, visitors should pay attention to the ‘Limited
Edition’ exhibition. The sign ‘20/300’ refers to the fact
that only 300 of the identical figures were produced, and
the figure on display is its 20th creation. The smaller the
number is in the front, the more expensive the price of
the figure. Also, since the figures are made in elaborate
detail, it is more entertaining to look closely at the figures and their expressions.
