  • Are you claiming this is you playing or Vanderbilly? Looks like Vanderbilly to me.

  • Ha ha now THAT was funny and I'll take it as a compliment for sure :D

  • This was really good. I dont want to criticize someone better than me, but it seems youre hittin the strings pretty hard. It sounds much better smoother. youre way too tense.

  • Ok, thanks, I will try loosing up next time ...

  • This is definitely the best version of that solo on youtube. Neal Schon is a very difficult guy to cover. Well done.

  • She said Ooooooooo-Ooooh-Ooooooooh Hoooooooold on... Hoooold on.. Hold ooon... Hoooooold ooonnn.

  • We are beginning work on a guitar lesson DVD in the style of Neal Schon and will be paying cash for the right lessons!!! This will be for advanced players and MUST be DEADLY accurate slow motion note for note playing of the same or better caliber you see in this video so please be sure you are in this league before you step up to the plate. Contact me through my youtube handle tony11122 with a link to a sample of your ability to play like Neal if you think you have the goods!

  • sounds a LOT like the actual solo, like almost exactly :D

  • She said ohhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhhhh ohho ohhhhhhhhhhh

  • great job

  • Damn!

    Jaw=Dropped

  • Definitely as close as it gets, great job man. In fact you're probably doing it a bit harder than Neal himself, but in that flurry of notes, you'd need special equipment to slow it down while maintaining pitch to be sure. Again, great job!

  • found neals twin!

  • awesome

  • @DeaDSilenT03 Ah yes, but that is what makes them so good! Trust me when I say that MOST (not all, Eric Johnson, for example plays very softly, but his music suits that) hit the string very hard. They are only making it LOOK smooth. How else would you expect to get dynamics if all you ever do is hit them softly?

    I guess what I am saying is, that at least for this piece of music, in my opinion, the picking was completely fine.

    But then the world would be boring if we were all the same c-:

  • @00Ibanezist00 Yeah, I've been playing guitar for about 4 years off and on. I know that you have to hit the strings hard, but to a certain extent. When you watch guitar legends, they're always so smooth and make it look so easy. Even though this video was a great cover of the solo, it seemed a little choppy to me. But that's just me.
