  • @onecreativecriminal

That's one of the weirdest things... you never realize how much you appreciated it until it's too late.

Kids want to grow up so fast... and when they're grown... they wish they were young again

  • The Word is the Bird

  • The background "nature sound" is a Mourning Warbler.

  • Word Bird got all the pussy.

    You know it's true.

  • Word bird's cry was kind of scary, but hey, like @generalspookX said, he was the shit.

  • Word Bird is the shit! Love that guy...

  • Been looking for some Word Bird footage for ages, and have only been able to find stuff from Family Guy. Thanks for posting this.

  • @RetroWinnipeg Thanks for the clarification. I think YouTube spoils us a bit since we see more of the image on here than we would on a normal television set. You're definitely right, it wouldn't appear on a normal TV since it does tend to crop the extreme corners of an image.

I wasn't necessarily putting FPP down, since I grew up with it in Toronto way back in my younger years. Looking back, my comment did seem a bit disrespectful to the show itself. But no harm was intended. :)

  • @GoldashTV Keep in mind that a TV set back then would not show the edges of an image, so cameras could have some leeway...

You can see the same thing with my MTN Kids Club clips...you can see the heads of the puppeteers on YouTube, but not on your old TV.

  • At 0:56 you can see above the set! Ouch. In spite of that, gotta love low-budget Canadian children's TV!
