Cleaning my turtle tank. I fast forwarded most of the parts so that way it wouldn't take that long. It normally would take a good half hour or forty five minutes.

  • ok as you know tropical storm lee has flooded mose of PA my ant was flooded and she had a tank of turtle i got for her a red bellied side neck turtle,2 peninsula cooters, eastern painted turtle, map turtle, florida red bellied turtle and i know the care of the turtles but i was in no way prepared to care for them on such short notice i dont have proper heating or filtration i will hopfully in a day or 2 but if you have any advice for me then please help me out and mabie explain what you would do

  • @22Infamouse Try to keep them in a tank of some sort with water. If you are sure that you are getting everything from your aunt within a few days then leave the turtles, and once you gt everything rom your aunt set up the tank the way she normally did at home. Do your best to keep the turtles warm

  • im always afraid that if i add water that isnt room temp and isnt pure that it will make them sick. dose temp of the water matter? and if i add aqua safe how long do i have to wait before i put them back in??

  • @scubafire4 You dont need to worry about that, i you have a heater then then you can put the turtles in right away, as long as the temp of the water doesnt become 100 degrees or down to 60 degrees its fine, the turtles will be fine in cold or warm water for a day or two as long as you have the heater set to about 75 degrees. You dont need to wait after putting aquasafe in it. They can go right away

  • Whats the thing you used to take the water out with called ? Please lmk .

  • i have a question , i clean the container frequently and give the turtles good food but they are always basking and rarely goes to water , even if i put them in water they get out again :( btw the water is treated ( no chlorine )

  • how many gallons is that tank??? Plz reply!!

  • good song choice :) Cinema Benny Benassi :) Skrillex remix is just as good though :)

  • And when you changing the water if you put a treatment for out chloramin, put it in the water before few hours!not after!

  • And chloramine isn't good for the turtles too but especialy for the good bacteria(nitrospira)in your filtration!washing your filter with tankwater not housewater!!

  • The badder for turtles is amoniac and nitrit!!

  • @MsChibiKawaii Chlorine is definitely NOT good for turtles, but for an already healthy turtle it wont do any damage as long as they are not in it for a long time. So as long as you add the water treatment it will kill all of the chlorine within a day. The turtles will be fine. I do NOT recommend keeping a turtle in chlorine water without treating it for a while. Or else it wil get sick

  • how many turtles do u have!!

  • Wash the eqiupment in the tank ..
