@bobo007xx No, you are mistaken 20/20 is "Power Pop". This genre was coined in the late 70's. cuz of bands like 20/20, the Beat, Shoes, etc. The other guy is so off re: his Pete Townsend comment, but won't go into it.

Re: American Bandstand, my husband refused to dance when they did their set, so I had to dance with my sister. The camera guys would not shoot us cuz we were same sex! I was so pissed. This was around 1980 or so. Dick Clark didn't want any controversy, we could dance together, but they would not allow it to air. .

@bobo007xx If you were "there" during this time period, you'd know that "power pop" has been around since Pete Townshend coined the phrase in the 60's - hardly a "new category" - and that the first two 20/20 records are both considered power pop classics.

I have some questions about psychology:

(1) Why do we love flying?

(2) Why do flying is so elegent and amazing that we write so many songs about it, including this song?

(3) How does the genre/style of aviation songs differ from other songs?

Saw 20/20 at SXSW about 4 or 5 years ago. Still rock. Still best power pop band ever. Ron Flynt still plays a show ever now and then in Austin. Anyone have a vid of the band's shot on American Bandstand?  If so, post it!
