The Pride Of Bilbao was never an ice breaker, it's simply a ferry with ice classification.

One 'iceburger' with double cheese please!

@davinaspeen lmao.. if it wasnt for the welsh taking cheap breaks then that ferry would be empty ! ohh wouldnt think a working ferry would be good enough for a snooty upperclass londoner after all they only advertise the mini breaks to take up space on there!!

Davina speen
you must have been on the same crossing as us full of drunken welsh
-
If only P&O used it's brains to advertise properly it might be able have a profitable crossing; ie; atracting Londoners who are only an hour away from a weekend jaunt instead of faggots from Wales
-
contract runs out this year and as not possible to get replacement no more pride of bilbao (off to cry now-after booking few last trips!!!)
-
when was this?

Lovely Boat..
actually owned by Irish ferries and on lease to PO.

I was on this boat at the time, we couldn't eat any of the pre paid meals we had booked, just felt sick. We just laid in our beds in our room whilst everything rolled across the floor from one side to the other as the ship went up and done and crashed against each wave.... scary experience!
-
i hope it does not end up like the titanic and crash into a iceburg and have the same disaster

They were hurricane force mate. The Wildlife Officer on board has a similar video taken at the same time on the bridge and I can assure you they were bad.
It was like this INSIDE the inner harbour too!
Thank you for all the comments, for all the doubters out there, this was the crossing where port in Santurtzi was closed for 24 hours and we were left 'hove too' in the open sea overnight, the wind did indeed reach a force 12 as confirmed by the ships master at the time, there were TV camera crews and press waiting for us on arrival in Santurtzi and on our return in Portsmouth.
