@ACCSESS247 It doesn't matter if the pins are hung from the top or from the bottom, bumping still works. And yes, most US locks are hung from the top, whereas in the UK they are oriented upwards, but not always in either case.

@emptycell25 Oh any by the way, it doesn't damage the lock in any way, nor does it leave a trace that it has been compromised. The trick is in the design & creation of the bump key for the particular lock, and the weight & focus point of the hammer. If you search around, you'll see there is quite a science to it, and competitions associated with their creation & use.

@emptycell25 Perhaps you don't understand what is going on here. The first key is a real key, demonstrates the lock is locked. Second key is a bump key, cut a certain way that with the hammer, it vibrates the mechanism into the open position and holds it there as he puts tension on the bump key. It's a method of "picking" a lock that is extremely effective, even on a high-grade anti-picking lock like the Mul-T-Lock shown.

@mkultra2300 It's not upside down, It's only in the US that they put locks in upside down. In the rest of the world we put them in the right way up. ☠

You are being a daft cunt. If you know ANYTHING about professional-grade locks, you know that Mul-T-Lock are not only expensive, but considered to be some of the finest grade locks out there. For consumers who want a high level of security, the author of this video just PROVED that spending a lot of money on a Mul-T-Lock mechanism for their home or workplace is extremely easy to bypass with a simple bump key. This forces lock companies to improve their product b/c nobody wants shit security.
