Thanks for posting. Here's one tip in return using a cotton swab.
My daughter and I canoed through a swampy area infested with mosquitos. She came out with several bites on the back of her hand that the swelling joined to form a large bump. I feathered out a Q-tip and removed it from the stick and placed it on the back of her hand then set it on fire. Within a minute her pain was gone and the swelling greatly reduced. Of course I did it to myself first to show her it is not painful.
