White Phosphorous and Dense Inert Metal Explosives: Is Israel Using Banned and Experimental Munitions in Gaza?

Israel is coming under increasing criticism for its possible use of banned and experimental munitions. Human Rights Watch has accused Israel of illegally firing white phosphorous, which causes horrific burns if it comes in contact with the skin, over crowded refugee camps in Gaza. Medics and human rights groups are also reporting that they are seeing injuries distinctive of another controversial weapon, Dense Inert Metal Explosive, known as DIME, that was designed by the US Air Force in 2006. Those struck by the weapon who survive suffer severe mutilations and internal injuries. We go to the Gaza border to speak with Marc Garlasco of Human Rights Watch and to Norway to speak with Dr. Mads Gilbert, who just returned from the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. He says Gaza is “truly a scene from Dante’s Inferno.” [includes rush transcript]

how ironic that we are being told about weapons that were designed to "limit civilian casualties", but instead would appear to have been used as stealthy weapons of terror. AND of course israel wont allow media into gaza because evil loves darkness, but rest assured what is whispered in the backrooms will be shouted from the rooftops.

DIME weapons aren't banned per se they aren't even classified in the Geneva conventions. The Us air force DIME weapons are still experimental they cause extensive damage without the excessive Fragmentation normally seen with a conventional bomb. They're also designed to LIMIT collateral damage. white Phosphorous isn't itself banned ITS THE WAY ITS USED that matters.

Marc Garlasco Is not seen by a lot of people as a true neutral party he has shown propalestinian leanings in the past.

I do not subscribe to any TV service because I did not enjoy supporting American lies and liars with my money. DIME weapons? I would hope a Nation that was created out of the horrors of WW2 & the Holocaust would have made Peace a priority. I know President Peres & PM Olmert have the Power to make Peace, do they have the Will? USA supports Israel with silence, money, weapons, ammo & technology.XoX

Here is what the future holds in the Middle East;

Israel will continue to strike Gaza until another muslim nation decides to take action. (This is a desired outcome by Israel)

When Israel starts being hit by other countries like Iran, it will cry for help. And who will come running? The good Ol' USA... followed soon after by Great Britain.

Israel will then have the opportunity to take full control of the region (another desired effect).
