  • You know that there is a MUCH easier way t do that right ?

  • This is the *RIGHT**** way to make fire

  • Part 5.

With the colour balance box open, you can go through the tonal range to get the right colour balance. As you can see in the video, you need to adjust the ranges of the shadows, midtones and highlights to get the right effect. It's not too difficult.

Once you are done with that, it pretty much a case of just playing around with the flames and smudging to the effect you like. Try adjustment layer to get differfent colours and experiment.

If you need any further help - just message me.

  • Part 4.

Strength slider and adjust as you feel necessary. Also, make sure the mode is set to normal. Found next to the strength slider.

Make the flames look realistic as you can - you may want to play around with the on a seperate image to see how it works, it allows you to become comfortable with the smudge tool.

When you are finished making your flames, you need to select - Image, Adjustments and Colour Balance.

Now, select layer 2 in the stack (it will be the layer at the top of the layer stack) and the begin to paint in the flames. Start with the yellow outer flame and piant in as needed - use grey as the person has done in the video. Then paint in the inner hotter part of the flame with white.

  • Part 2.

On layer 3 you will create the flames. Select the brush tool and click on the brush drop down arrow found on the menu bar. It is the icon for a brush. Select 'Airbrush soft round 50% flow and select the size of the brush you want to work with. This all depends on the size of the image size. For something like this I would work with 800x800 with 300dpi for extra fine details. It allows a better print of the image as well.

Part 3 I will tell you how to do the flames.

    Part 3>>>>

An explanation for you all. He has created it like this so follow the steps:

    1. Base layer or first layer at the bottome of the stack - This is the background layer, the black background. It can be created by7 setting the foreground colour to black. Hold down Alt and pressing backspace (pc) or the mac equivalant.

    2. Layer 1 is the skull picture and so do not make any alterations on this layer.

    3. Layer 2 is the adjustment layer you will be creating the flames on.

    Part 2. Continued >>>
