Frankie Knuckles LIVE at Grant Park

Chicago SummerDance 2006

The tenth annual Chicago SummerDance, June 15 - August 27, 2006, is an eleven-week festival featuring one-hour dance lessons by professional instructors, followed by two hours of live music and dancing on a 3,500 square foot open-air dance floor, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, 6 to 9:30 pm, and Sunday afternoon, 4 to 7 pm, weather-permitting. SummerDance takes place Thursdays through Sundays at the Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park, 601 South Michigan Avenue (between Harrison and Balbo, across from Columbia College).

The Chicago SummerDance DJ Series continues for its third year with international DJs, like DJ Pierre, spinning three hours of various styles of electronic dance music from June 19 - August 23, 2006. The travelling DJ series will now be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at various downtown locations in the city, exact dates and locations to be announced. Chicago SummerDance is organized by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
