I'm not against the whole Sess/Rin thing, but his reaction in this clip was not that of someone who was "in love" and lost his lover. That was the reaction of a father figure who was about to lose his baby. I personally feel like Rin to him is more than just a daughter, but a companion who loves him in an innocent manner without judging him for being a demon. I think it's a beautiful relationship, but not a romantic one. I'm not against Sess/Rin though, but only when she's older.

@xLadySam Well you have your opinion and I have mine. I never said I was against Sess/Rin though, so I feel like you are in fact arguing with me and attacking me for no good reason. Their relationship is so odd and unique that it can be interpreted in different ways, so maybe I feel like Sesshomaru did raise her as his own (by protecting her) but in the end realized she was better off among humans. If you don't think so, then that's fine cause it's your opinion. And that's it.

When the child gets older, they should be going off on their own, making their own lives, having their own children. So if their relationship will be entirely father/daughter based, then what sense does that make? Not arguing, just thought to say it. :) And point that out for those who are against Sesshy/Older Rin. They are my only OTP of this series, so I gotta defend them.

@TaylorRosen Yes, I loved this scene. My I'm Older Rin/Sesshy Shipper though. I never compared them as father and daughter, cause really Rin fended for herself too much. She feeds herself, had to stay be by herself a lot, and probably needed to do most things on her own. But Sesshy was always there to protect her though. But the thing is, in the end, he gives her to another to look after until she can be with him. Why? When she's older, shouldn't she be going off on her own. cont...
