A four-hour hearing determined three suspects will be tried for the January murder of 28-year-old Renee Redmer.

Police say Brandon Mueller strangled Redmer and then burned and disposed of her body in Lake Winnebago. Court documents say Mueller strangled Redmer, who was his girlfriend at the time.

Last month, Mueller was charged with murder and mutilating a corpse. His mother Nancy Pinno, and her boyfriend, Donald Worth, were charged with mutilating a corpse. Police say Pinno and Worth helped Mueller burn the body and put the ashes in Lake Winnebago. Pinno is also charged with helpeing cover up the murder.

In court, attorneys for both Mueller, Worth and Pinno asked the court to dismiss various charges against them, saying the state lacked sufficient grounds for the charges. The judge denied those requests.

Several witnesses also appeared in court. The first witness was Judy Svetlik, Redmer's mother, who told the court about realizing her daughter was missing in January.

The next witness was Terry Wasserman, a friend of Mueller. Wasserman told the court that after Redmer disappeared, Mueller began telling him about how he killed his girlfriend and disposed of her body.

"He said he had finally done it," said Wasserman. "He had finally killed her."

"Nothing in the complaint talks about facts and circumstances," said William Retert, Mueller's defense attorney.

The three defendants were among the prosecution witnesses. All of them refused to answer questions.

The suspects have been assigned separate judges. Dates for future court appearances have not been set.
