I did one arm pushups on a wall to much and got a sore elbow. I lessoned the amount of exercise and built up slowly moving the arm with out resistance at first until I had no discomfort, then slowly building resistance stopping the exercise before it got to uncomfortable .There is good pain and bad pain when doing this. Then I slowly built up resistance using my other hand as resistance. I could work the triceps until I felt no more pain, Building new tissue around damaged tissue.
