Disney's Little Mermaid on Broadway - "She's In Love"

This is "She's in Love" from the new Disney Broadway musical adaptation of Hans Chrstian Anderson's fairytale of the same name.

In the show, you will recognise a lot of the songs because they were composed and included in Disney's film of "The Little Mermaid".

This new Broadway musical adds depth to the original film, and if you listen to the special features on the DVD, you will notice how some of the deleted concepts for the movie are now used within the stage show.

EG originally, Ursula was King Triton's jealous sister (though this wouldn't work with Little Mermaid 2). Also, the sailor's song "Fathoms Below" was much longer then was cut down, and this introduced the family of the MerRoyals.

I hope you enjoy this song! It terms of placing within the movie, the song really would have been the short sequence where Ariel's sisters moan at her being the bathroom "Ariel dear, you've been in there all morning". She comes out humming, and the sisters say "what is with her lately?" Ariel leaves, bumps into Daddy (King Triton) and says "morning Daddy". Seh swims off and the sisters say: "She's got it bad". Triton says: "what? What has she got?" and another sister says "Isn't it obvious, Daddy? Ariel's in love!" Then the scene cuts to Sebastian fretting about Ariel and the her love for a human. He then sings "Under the Sea".

The only difference to the show and the film is (obviously the length of the scene, duh and) the sisters are singing amongst THEMSELVES then with Flounder. "Daddy King Triton" never appears in this number.

Enjoy - I'm sure if you just listen you'll be "gone, hook, line and sinker!"

Our flounder is going to be the 8 year old boy who played Jojo in Suessical (we just did it the last few weekends) in my theater group and we're so excited (this is for a revue show, and he's the only boy!)

That was a freakin AWESOME song! I love flounder, he has the most adorable voice, at first I thought he was a girl until my sister told me, I was like "oh" lol great song :)
