I've been wondering how you would play Civ 5, now I have the chance to check it out. Thanks for something other than Skyrim *(yeah I know, this was created way before your skyrim series).
I may actually get back into playing this game, I'll have to check out all the patch notes and see where the game stands today, hopefully they've beefed up diplomacy since it was released.

I always prefer starting with Liberty as my first policy, simply because I always want lots of science (which means I need a lot of cities) and get myself a free great person, free worker and free settler. I never really worry about barbarians because I advance in technology fast enough that I become ahead of any barbarian in no time.

civilization is a bit too complex (or something) for me, I like more the settlers and age of empires, but I must say that this game looks interesting
