Croda is a manufacturer and supplier of natural-based specialty chemicals to Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, Household, and Industrial markets -- with divisions in the United States and Europe.
The client wanted a 40-second animated video that would educate families with young children about the importance of including omega-3 fish oils as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle. The objective of the animation was to create consumer pull-through by generating awareness about the benefits of omega-3 -- while urging consumers to seek out available products containing Croda's PureMax™ brand of fish oil.
A script was written surrounding a humanized bird character named "Percy Puffin" who interacts with a family and explains how PureMax™ omega-3 fish oils contribute to a healthy diet. In addition to moving the story along, the puffin character serves as a personality icon that brings the story to life and allows consumers to identify and build a connection with the PureMax™ brand. Messaging reinforcing the brand's purity and reliability was incorporated into the animation.
The animation is being used to establish a basis for future campaigns and will be featured at trade shows and on websites.
