  • oh yeah?well at least the british 'original'red dwarf was WAY better than red dwarf USA.the original has millions of fans whilst the usa one had what, five fans?

DONT call brits boring!i hate stereotypes.

  • My god what a complete waste of time that was for me to watch for thirty seconds, never mind the effort that must have gone into making it. Are people actually paying for this abomination? Why don't the makers of Red Dwarf just release "mobisode" edits of the original clips?

  • @divinebadboyharry - Yeah, the USA version was not good. They only had a pilot, and everything was changed and it was so stupid. I still don't understand why they can't just show the original in the USA. People are missing out! But they better not try to make an American version again, because people over here will say that it's better than the original one when it really isn't just because they saw that one first.

  • @feckingbillgates Congratulations on making an absolutely worthless responce, I think I will go and masturbate now.

  • @FalseImpressionist75 Congratulations on managing to rise above replying.

  • @feckingbillgates This piece of shit got rated top comment? Pathetic...

  • I didn't even know that they had a USA version... All I know is Red Dwarf was AWESOME! And the BBC Being Human is 100x Better then the SYFY one! Just sayin ol' chaps.

  • @spacecowboy5000 I believe I saw episodes on tv when I was younger in the early 90's with the UK cast. I know this because Kryten and Lister remained in my memory for years, and it wasn't until a few years back I looked it up and I am a complete smegging fan now. I'm an American and I love british comedy, and Red Dwarf is my favorite show of all time. I saw a bit of the U.S. version...not so great IMO. I'd bone U.S.'s Cat, other than that UK version is epic.

  • @PizzaKrapp And when it was shown to American test audiences it flopped worse than more shows did. Audiences didn't get it even though the comedy was "adapted" to US audiences. All tv shows do this and if the test audience doesn't like it the show is canned. American broadcasters just wanted to cash in on the incredible success of the show. They failed. To most fans the US versions never even existed/

  • @PizzaKrapp It was NICKNAMED White Dwarf.

And even if the US version was the first one for me to watch I still would not have liked it.The acting was horrific, the intro looked atrocious and the casting was entirely wrong - Lister was meant to be a slob with zero hygiene.Instead we got a guy who looked like he had walked straight out of Baywatch. The actor himself even admitted the casting was wrong.

  • @flibble3333 It was not called WHITE DWARF, it was Red Dwarf and it wasn't a terrible show, I didn't like it after seeing the original for so many years, but it would have still been something new and fresh to people that had never seen the original. The jokes we all had seen performed differently and were used to them that way. Like a band doing a cover, if you know the original you like it better, if you only know the cover you like it better. I think it's cool the US wanted a DWARF show.
