  • dose this need power from psu what is diffrent about the d2x

  • @TRUENGLISHMAN Nope it dont need any extra power

  • Hey, I'm really not sure if I should get this.. I have the z5500 and running them on my motherboard's audio ( a cheap motherboard ) And I have done that for over a year now.

Does the sound quality improve alot? or just a little, just so the experts can hear the difference?

And does it need any extra power?

    Please anwser me :) Thanks!

  • yeah its alot better than onboard audio. This is probably one of the best multimedia sound cards out for its price and no it dont need any extra power cables

  • @beefdog88 Hey beefdog have you had any issues with your Xonar D2 like popping sounds ? i have just got the D2 also and seem to get popping sounds when windows 7 starts ..POP !! windows media player ..POP!! not sure why its doin that for !!

I googled it up and it seems im not the only person whos having this issue with the D2 ,people complain that Asus dont care for there customers and there driver support suxs for the D2.

I download the lastest driver and still it pops !!

    Any ideas ?
